On Ash Wednesday we begin the Lenten journey.
“Fasting should not hurt but it should pinch!”
On Ash Wednesday Catholics are encouraged to fast. Fasting could centre on food, social media use or screen time.
Traditionally Catholics don’t eat red meat and eat very simply on this day.
Lent can be a time to refresh our body, mind and spirit, to pray, to reread a few verses of Scripture or to share a little time with others.
The test of our Lent is not what we do for Lent, but what Lent can do through us and for us.
